The FreecoNet platform is entering the VoIP market, enabling free calls from a standard landline phone (from
any operator). You only need a permanent Internet connection, a VoIP terminal, and to register a phone number with FreecoNet.
On September 18, 2006, FreecoNet began operations in Poland.
– FreecoNet is the first global platform that connects all major technologies in VoIP telephony. FreecoNet’s ambition is to create a global telecommunications community where all its members can communicate for free from a standard landline or videophone, regardless of which operator provides the service to such users – says Krzysztof Malicki, CEO of Datera Sp. z o.o., the creator of FreecoNet. Functioning as a platform, FreecoNet enables free calls between all landline phone numbers registered with FreecoNet, regardless of which operator handles the number and in what technology. FreecoNet is a solution for both customers using traditional telephone services and for
VoIP users. It does not require the user to change their existing phone number.
