New modules for the e-commerce platform are being developed

On June 20, 2006, the Council of Ministers approved a report on the status of task implementation for the period from August 2004 to December 2005, included in the 2003-2006 program “Creating mechanisms and structures for the development of electronic commerce in Poland”. The report, submitted by the Minister of Economy, noted that most of the tasks related to the creation of the e-commerce electronic platform had been fulfilled, including the construction of the Central Repository of Electronic Document Templates, the EANIC Electronic Product Catalog, and the Trade Point Poznań trade offer exchange system. In addition, a nationwide training program and e-learning courses for entrepreneurs were launched. For companies to operate effectively in the global market, they must have access to standardized electronic documents, data description definitions, and popular information exchange methods. This is all the more important as the currently operating company business support platforms function based on their own product identification systems and their own document standards, which hinders the development of e-business. Without a systemic approach and the adoption of global standards that enable the rapid implementation of individual
procurement, production, and distribution processes, both within our country, other European Union member states, and countries outside of it, the full development of Polish enterprises and their competitiveness in global markets is not possible.
