Public Administration Services Center

The Electronic Platform for Public Administration Services (e-PUAP) is part of the government’s concept of an integrated IT system enabling the provision of public services, known as the “Gateway to Poland.” The Platform project was presented by the Ministry of
Science and Informatization at the beginning of February 2005. The project outlined a vision of a technologically advanced tool facilitating contact between citizens and businesses with public administration at all levels – both governmental and local. However, e-PUAP will not replace sectoral or local systems maintained by individual
institutions and offices, but rather will serve to integrate access to services provided by the administration. The Ministry of Interior and Administration has developed the main strategic framework for building the e-PUAP platform. Among the most important goals to be achieved is the creation, by the end of the first quarter of 2008, of a common infrastructure available to all public entities and their service recipients, which will allow for the use of economies of scale, significantly reducing costs and making it easier for service providers and recipients of public services to use electronic access channels.

The article comes from the magazine “e-Fakty” 5/2006.
