Commonly used warehouse equipment can be divided into three main groups: storage devices, internal transport equipment, and auxiliary warehouse equipment. This article presents the warehouse transport equipment used at Zakłady Samochodowe “Jelcz” SA. The general goal of the logistics services at Zakłady Samochodowe “Jelcz” SA is to carry out the procurement of cooperative products and materials necessary to perform production tasks. This goal is achieved through the following activities:
– planning procurement needs
– obtaining information about sources of material procurement
– negotiating commercial terms
– selecting procurement sources
– placing orders and concluding contracts for the supply of materials from cooperation
– renegotiating order fulfillment terms based on changes in production plans and material standards
– initiating cooperation in the field of continuous quality improvement with all company units
– enforcing compliance of the assumed quality parameters of cooperative deliveries with those specified in orders and technical acceptance conditions (WTO)
– introducing external inspections at subcontractors.
