Everyday practice shows that various devices are used in logistics production and distribution chains. Regarding some of these devices, their nomenclature is not always used correctly. It should be presumed that in many cases, such a situation arises as a result of a lack of knowledge of the subject. The first part of the article presented an example of the use of imprecise terminology regarding flat wooden cargo pallets. Hundreds of thousands of warehouses operate all over the world, in which various types of racks are used. Among them, the most widespread are various types of racks with a height of several to a dozen or so meters. Palletized cargo units are very often stored in racks, and for this reason, a certain problem arises. Another of the most frequently incorrectly named devices are fixed frame palletless racks, which many authors of publications and users refer to as
pallet racks
. It is true that palletized cargo units are stored in fixed frame palletless racks, but it cannot be hidden that these are not the only types and kinds of racks in which they can be and are stored.
