Online Job Market

In 2004, we observed positive changes in the labor market, and the beginning of 2005 also started very well. One could even say it started sensationally. January turned out to be record-breaking across all previous reports, with 2,110 job postings recorded (chart). The number of job postings in the Purchasing/Logistics category increased this time, and quite significantly. In January, 126 offers were directed to logistics specialists, almost 30 more than in December of last year. As in previous months, employers were primarily looking for Purchasing Specialists (31 offers), Logistics Managers (22), and Freight Forwarders (17). Furthermore, offers appeared for Import and Export Specialists, Planners, Logistics Warehouse Managers, and specialists in sea and ocean freight.
If the trend from last year continues, we should expect further growth in job postings in this industry. This is further confirmation that the Polish economy is doing better and better. The growth expected for several years has proven to be stable enough that it cannot be disrupted by either the unstable political situation or the rise in fuel prices following the war in Iraq. Good spirits do not leave either entrepreneurs or employees. According to the results of a survey conducted by jobpilot.pl (a sample of over 500 people), more than 60% of people expect that they will be able to significantly improve their situation in the labor market this year, with only 10% fearing a deterioration.
