New Schenker warehouse in Germany

Eurinpro has built a new 18,000 sqm warehouse for Schenker in Grolsheim, in western Germany. This is the fourth “build-to-suit” project completed by Eurinpro for Schenker.

The entire project took Eurinpro just over 4 months to complete and was finished ahead of the contract deadline. Currently, the logistics center, designed for multiple tenants, serves Schenker’s clients for the storage and distribution of goods to the German and European markets.

Thomas Reppahn, Director of the Warehousing & Systems Department at Schenker Deutschland AG, said: “Eurinpro perfectly met our diverse requirements. Within the contractually agreed time, they provided us with an efficient and cost-effective project implementation and a flexible center configuration, taking into account time pressure and our potential expansion. Thanks to this, we are able to serve a large number of clients in our new logistics center today.”

Schenker was very satisfied with the fast and flexible project implementation by Eurinpro. Thanks to its strategic location near Mainz and Frankfurt Airport, which provides access to the entire road network in Germany and Eastern Europe, the new logistics center will significantly contribute to Schenker’s business expansion. The warehouse is located at the intersection of the A60 motorway towards Wiesbaden and the A61 towards Mannheim, 60 km from Frankfurt Airport and 35 km and 85 km from Mainz and Mannheim, respectively.

The top-quality 18,000 sqm “build-to-suit” logistics center built by Eurinpro consists of two parts, each 9,000 sqm. The warehouse, with a clear height of 12 m, is equipped with 13 loading docks and a super-flat floor. Next to the warehouse, Eurinpro also built 1,500 sqm of covered outdoor space and 530 sqm of office space. In accordance with Schenker’s specific requirements, Eurinpro also provided additional space in front of the building, which allows for side loading.
