Growth in trade in the region

Schenker Sp. z o.o. has opened a regular groupage connection with Romania. The new line, compared to the previous solution via Vienna, shortens the delivery time to 3-4 business days (previously 6-7 days), which for Polish contractors means a reduction in costs across the entire supply chain. Smaller companies, as well as those that for various business-justified reasons did not want or could not transport their goods by purchasing a full-truckload transport service, can now participate in economic exchange between the countries.

The groupage line primarily enables the transport of loads weighing up to 2500 kg, so smaller Polish companies will be able to transport smaller batches of goods, appropriate to the scale of their operations.
– The Krakow-Bucharest line is a special type of service that allows customers to combine groupage loads (weight up to 2500 kg) with partial loads (over 2500 kg), which gives companies greater flexibility in planning weekly shipments – explains Marek Skowroński, Product Manager North&South, Schenker Sp. z o.o. – Our experience shows that a similar connection to Bulgaria, launched about 6 months ago, was a bullseye. The trucks are filled to the maximum with groupage shipments, and everything indicates that in the near future, a second regular groupage truck departure on this route will be needed.
