On June 21 and 22, 2006, Strasbourg is hosting over 400 decision-makers from the logistics, trade, and industry sectors from across Europe at the EUROLOG 2006 congress. This year, the French Logistics Association (ASLOG) has undertaken the organization of the congress, combining the 25th French Logistics Congress with the EUROLOG 2006 congress, organized in cooperation with the European Logistics Association. The congress topics focus on three industries: automotive, fast-moving consumer goods, and chemical-pharmaceutical. On the first day of the congress, representatives from Gefco and Crown were invited to deliver introductory presentations. Logistics in the automotive industry is particularly strongly represented during the panel discussions. The concept of logistics functioning at Fiat – the integration of logistics in the supply chain, and Audi’s flexible solutions – aimed at ensuring full customer satisfaction, are among the most interesting presentations of the first panel session.
