The Euro ID trade fair, which took place from May 16-18 in Cologne, brings together companies associated with the automatic identification industry. This sector includes both traditional solutions based on barcode technology, as well as the latest systems using radio frequency tags (RFID) instead of codes. Among the Euro ID exhibitors were manufacturers of devices and equipment, integrators, and software providers. During the fair, prestigious European Auto ID awards are presented for the best industry products, innovative products, projects, and solutions that combine modern technologies with practical market requirements.
Logisys received the European Auto ID Award 2006 for its Agilero mobile solutions platform, which is used to integrate automatic identification hardware and mobile devices with ERP (Enterprise Resources Planning) and SCM (Supply Chain Management) IT systems, as well as specialized WMS (Warehouse Management System) warehouse solutions.
The Agilero platform by Logisys was submitted to the competition and received the award in the barcode category, although, as emphasized during the award ceremony, the platform also integrates equipment operating based on RFID technologies.
The European Auto-ID Award 2006 was presented during the Exhibitors’ Evening at the end of the first day of the fair by Thorsten Ah, editor-in-chief of IDENT magazine – the most important industry magazine and the press organ of the AIM Global Deutschland association, which brings together leading auto-id and mobile solution providers in Germany.
