Novell receives SCP quality certification

Novell is the only Linux distribution vendor to join the elite group of companies

certified under the Support Center Practices program.

Novell has announced that its Global Support and Services division has received quality service certification under the Support Center Practices (SCP) program. In doing so, Novell has joined the ranks of high-tech companies that have earned this highly prestigious and sought-after certification, including Lockheed Martin Incorporated, McKesson Corporation, Rockwell Automation, Nokia, Sage Software, EMC, and Xerox Corporation.

Developed by a consortium of high-tech companies in collaboration with Service Strategies Corp., the SCP certification defines best practices for technical support delivery. The SCP program quantifies customer service effectiveness and is clearly focused on measurable results. A condition for its award is a positive outcome of a detailed audit that confirms compliance with approximately 100 requirements defined in the program. The degree of compliance is determined based on customer satisfaction levels measured by an independent firm. Certified companies must demonstrate a continuous commitment to meeting quality standards through annual recertification audits.
