Comarch SA has registered a subsidiary in Lithuania, based in Vilnius. The new entity will focus on the sales and support of systems sold to clients in the telecommunications and retail-financial sectors. The value of the Lithuanian ICT market is currently estimated at over 1 billion euros.
The registration of the new company in Lithuania is part of Comarch’s long-term strategy, which includes increasing its presence in the developing markets of Central and Eastern Europe. Due to its high growth dynamics, the Lithuanian market, currently estimated to be worth approximately 1,229 million euros, is also included in this category.
Comarch’s primary areas of interest in Lithuania are two sectors – telecommunications and retail-services. Comarch is already present in both of these – the largest Lithuanian mobile operator, Bite, is a Comarch client, and the company also provides electronic document exchange platforms (ECOD), CRM systems, and Business Intelligence solutions for the retail-services sector.
