Goodyear Dunlop Europe has announced the signing of an agreement with Tech International, under which Tech International will supply tire repair materials under the Goodyear brand, including compounds, tools, and accessories.
These will be sold at 80 Authorized Goodyear Retreading Stations across Europe. Goodyear is one of the largest and fastest-growing suppliers of retreaded tires and retreading materials on the continent.
David McMillan, Director of Retreading at Goodyear Dunlop Europe, said: Tech International has been working with our parent company in the USA for 17 years. They produce tire repair materials, chemicals, as well as tools and accessories for tire retreading there, which are used by Authorized Goodyear Tire Retreading Stations, at Truckwise locations, and by dealers within the Wingfoot Commercial Tire Dealers program across North America. Given the long-standing cooperation between Tech and Goodyear and the proven quality of the tire repair materials, we consider it a natural consequence to make these products available to Authorized Goodyear Retreading Stations in Europe – added McMillan.
The use of Goodyear-branded tire repair materials makes it possible to verify at which Authorized Goodyear Retreading Station a tire was serviced and guarantees that a properly inspected material will remain in the tire when it returns for retreading.
While Authorized Goodyear Retreading Stations have the option to purchase tire repair materials from other brands, Goodyear will strongly support the use of its own, as they have undergone detailed and rigorous testing and have been approved by Goodyear.
