BT has received the World Communication Awards 2005 in the Best Global Carrier category.
During the prestigious seventh annual World Communication Awards 2005 gala, BT received the award in the Best Global Carrier category, and BT’s Chief Executive, Ben Verwaayen, was named the most influential person in the telecommunications world (The Most Influential Person in Communications). The World Communication Awards is the most important event in the global telecommunications industry.
This year, BT held a very strong position in the competition. In addition to the Best Global Carrier award, BT was a finalist for awards in the following categories: Best Brand, Best Customer Care, and Best Managed Service.
This year’s gala took place in London. It was attended by over 500 personalities from the world of telecommunications. 40 operators, selected from 120 telecommunications companies entered in the competition, competed in the poll.
