TNT Express will expand its road network in the Middle East with five new connections. All of them will become operational in 2006.
This step is related to the introduction of the Day Definite service by TNT, which guarantees customers a specific number of days for delivery.
– The road network is the foundation of TNT’s strategy in the region, so we intend to create connections between the Persian Gulf countries and further regions of the Middle East as well as Europe – said Steve Barrett, the newly appointed Chief Operating Officer of MERN.
Thanks to the Day Definite service, delivery of a shipment from the United Arab Emirates to Kuwait will take two business days, and to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia – three business days.
The new connections will cover further Middle Eastern countries, giving customers unprecedented access to many areas of the region.
