Adaptec has launched a nationwide service and education center for its products. For the first time in Poland, users of Adaptec solutions will be able to take advantage of authorized service offerings and a new training path.
The Service Operating Center is a global program under which Adaptec is creating a network of partners involved in distribution, education, and service activities. In the Polish market, Adaptec has signed agreements with three companies: Veracomp SA (distributor), FixIT (a company providing service), and Compendium CE (an authorized Adaptec training center since 2002).
Based on the signed agreement, FixIT will offer Advanced Hardware Replacement (AHR) or on-site hardware repair (SOS) services. The services will cover Adaptec’s Altevo and SANBlock disk array series. Meanwhile, Compendium CE will introduce five new courses on the configuration, administration, and design of secure data storage systems based on Adaptec technology and hardware. Complementing the new educational path is the special Adaptec Certified Storage Professional (ACSP) certification program, which offers, among other things, online access to troubleshooting information and telephone technical support. To obtain ACSP status, one must pass an exam through the Prometric Testing Center.
The Adaptec service center will be located in Krakow. Due to the scope of operations of all the companies involved, the contract includes the possibility of expanding cooperation to other countries in Central and Eastern Europe.
