DHL and Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD) have signed an agreement aimed at increasing the efficiency of Mectizan deliveries – a drug produced by MSD for patients affected by river blindness (onchocerciasis) and lymphatic filariasis (elephantiasis) in countries across Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East.
Under the agreement, DHL will provide charitable delivery of Mectizan from MSD’s factories in Clermont-Ferrand, France, to areas affected by and at risk of infection. The new agreement was developed based on the existing cooperation between DHL and MSD. By combining the capabilities of both companies, it will ensure fast and effective delivery of the medication.
