Abstract
In the era of globalization, one of the fundamental dilemmas facing the TSL (Transport-Forwarding-Logistics) sector is the proper definition of development directions that will be consistent not only with the expectations of individual clients but also with the expectations of society as a whole. Logistics is a modern field of knowledge that offers opportunities to gain a competitive advantage in the liberalized TSL services market. It can be treated as the science of efficient movement and management of product, capital, and information flow processes in order to satisfy customer needs. A proper approach to logistics processes involves the necessity of reducing excessive inventories, unnecessary and irrational movements of transport means in transport processes, and the correct use of all branches of transport so that global service costs are as low as possible. When determining the costs of services provided, one should also take into account external costs, and above all, the costs of negative impact on the natural environment. The article presents the relationships occurring between the protection of the natural environment and the proper development of transport and logistics services.
Summary
Nowadays when globalization comes true one of the based problems of Transport-Seditions- Logistics sector is properly defining ways of evolution to satisfy single clients and society. Logistics is modern part of science which give possibilities to compete with other firms on liberal TSL market. We may treat logistics like science on efficient dislocation and flow of products, capitals and information management. Proper logistics processes management demand reduction of excessive supplies, unneeded and irrational flows means of transport in transport processes. Also important is appropriate using all transport arms to decrease global costs. Defining services costs we should take to consideration external expenses and particularly costs of negative influences on environment. Report present relation between environment protection and proper logistics services development.
Introduction
The current industrial era is gradually transforming into an ecological era, in which the main emphasis is placed on the ability to rationally manage natural resources. The basic assumptions of the ecological era include, among others:
- acceptance of the concept of sustainable development (eco-development),
- striving to protect major ecosystems,
- creating national ecological policies,
- mastering knowledge about natural resource management,
- creating new pro-ecological business organizations.
It should also be noted that when creating a national ecological policy, one of its main elements should be the concept of sustainable transport development. The transport business should take into account responsibility for the natural environment in its operations. Ecology, as a science studying the functioning and relationships between living organisms and the environment, is becoming a specific ideology of conducting modern business, increasingly overlapping with economics. Neither achieving high economic results regardless of ecology, nor the complete inviolability of the natural environment without regard for economic realities are good solutions. Optimal solutions should take into account the rational needs of the economy while considering ecological requirements. This applies equally to transport as a field of economic activity and its impact on the natural environment.
