MacroSoft selects an EDI message operator

The MacroSoft Group is introducing EDI messages. The SKID system has been adapted to the electronic data interchange standard. The Group is looking for a partner providing information exchange services between IT systems. MacroSoft is testing the platform offered by Infinite. A positive result of the technology tests will result in the signing of a partnership agreement between MacroSoft and Infinite.

The choice of Infinite technology for testing stems from the operator’s experience in EDI services. The operator’s B2B systems support over 2,300 business entities. In terms of EDI, Infinite systems are adapted to exchange file formats (e.g., txt, xml, dbf, edifact, csv, edi, es4) of SAP, Hermes, Polka, Symfonia, Wf-Mag, FPP, and others. Introducing EDI to the offer is another step for the MacroSoft Group to increase the interoperability of its offered IT solutions. The new solution provides the ability to quickly exchange information and instantly join the structure of retail chains or create one’s own networks.

The application of electronic document interchange means concrete business benefits for MacroSoft Group clients in the form of reduced operating costs, as well as a reduction in errors and improved accuracy of order fulfillment, and a significant acceleration of trade procedures and inventory optimization.

The EDI offer, in the Group’s assessment, should meet with a positive response in the SME sector. The standard EDI offer from MacroSoft for this client group will include the preparation of the most popular types of business messages regarding orders and invoices. In this process, the operator’s primary function will be to ensure the compatibility of index transfers between both communicating parties. Thanks to the technology made available by the operator, clients will also be able to track the progress of their order fulfillment on a specially provided website.

The involvement of an operator in the EDI process also has a second positive aspect. At a time of low prevalence of electronic signatures, the operator guarantees the transmission and receipt of specific data by the counterparty. Sending data through an operator also provides a greater guarantee of the process’s reliability.
