DHL Express has been honored with the European Medal by the Office of the Committee for European Integration and the Business Center Club for its DHL Europlus service. The medal presentation took place on April 18th during a gala ceremony at the Lubomirski Palace, the Warsaw headquarters of the Business Center Club.
This is the second time DHL Express has won the European Medal. It is a non-commercial, nationwide distinction awarded since 2000 by the Office of the Committee for European Integration and the Business Center Club. Its purpose is to promote products and services offered by companies operating in Poland whose quality meets European standards. Only BCC members are eligible to receive the medal. DHL Express has been a member of the Business Center Club since 2002.
DHL Europlus, introduced to the DHL Express portfolio in October 2004, gives customers the ability to transport single shipments, multi-piece parcels, and pallets to over 20 European countries, including: Spain, Portugal, Italy, Denmark, Poland, Austria, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, and France. Additionally, this service allows for booking a courier and tracking shipments online, written delivery confirmation, payment of transport costs by the recipient, and cargo insurance. More demanding customers can drop off shipments at a service point. The sender can send a shipment with the annotation: self-pickup from a service point. The customer also has the option to order a shipment pickup from any location in Europe to their headquarters, for which they will pay according to pre-agreed rates negotiated with a local sales representative.
