The multiplex network operator, Cinema City International, estimates that its investments in Poland will amount to approximately 200 million dollars over the next few years.
– In the first phase of development on the Polish market, we invested about 100 million dollars, and a similar amount has been earmarked for the second phase, so the total sum will be around 200 million dollars – said Mooky Greidinger, CEO of CCI.
Cinema City, which began investing in Poland in 1999, owns 14 facilities in the largest Polish cities, with a total of 150 cinema screens. Six new cinemas will be opened later this year in: Elbląg, Włocławek, Toruń, Katowice, Poznań, and Łódź.
They are being built in three formats: in larger cities, these are large and medium-sized multiplexes with 9-15 screens, and in smaller ones, facilities with six screens.
