Frans Maas’s Development in Greater Poland

The Poznań branch of Frans Maas is a unit of the Frans Maas Polska Group, one of the leading forwarders and logistics operators on the Polish market. It operates in western Poland and, due to its proximity to the border, focuses its activities particularly on the German market.

Not only due to its geographical location, but also because of historical conditions, Greater Poland is an area with a high concentration of German investments. Therefore, the Frans Maas branch in Poznań is intensively developing its services precisely in this direction. The wide range of services, including frequent LTL (less-than-truckload) connections to Germany, has recently been expanded with a new regular line between Mosina near Poznań and Mettmann in Germany (near Düsseldorf). The increase in the dynamics of trade turnover was also influenced by the simplification of procedures related to Poland’s accession to the European Union.

– Ever since we joined the EU, the client’s location has ceased to play a significant role. It no longer matters whether the client comes from Berlin or Zielona Góra, because in every case we are able to provide them with fast and efficient service – says Piotr Bakun, director of the Poznań branch of Frans Maas. Recently, the company launched distribution in the German border areas via the Polish domestic transport system, which has shortened service delivery times.

The Poznań branch specializes mainly in the organization of international LTL forwarding based on the global structure of Frans Maas. It also has regular night shuttle connections with other Frans Maas branches in the country.
Frans Maas in Poznań transports groupage cargo from Italy, the Netherlands, and Great Britain. In the near future, it is planned to launch a shuttle connection with Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Finland. This decision was influenced by the huge interest of customers in the already existing Frans Maas connections with the Baltic countries.
