Exotec Announces Partnership with MUSINSA to Launch a Next-Generation Automated Warehouse

Exotec, a global warehouse solutions provider, has announced a partnership with MUSINSA, a leading fashion platform in South Korea. This marks Exotec’s first deployment in the Korean market and a significant milestone in the company’s expansion across the Asia-Pacific region. The project also supports MUSINSA’s continued growth, responding to rising global interest in Korean fashion.

MUSINSA supports independent brands as a leading online and offline retailer offering trendy and luxury Korean labels. The company manages hundreds of thousands of SKUs, with inventory levels fluctuating dynamically due to seasonal collections and promotional campaigns.

To sustain its rapid growth, MUSINSA required a flexible system capable of handling a vast product range, high inventory turnover and variable demand, while ensuring efficient order fulfilment across all sales channels.

Skypod System and Deepsky WES at the Core

In response to these needs, MUSINSA selected Exotec as the provider of its core automation infrastructure – the Skypod system and Deepsky WES software – for its new warehouse in Yeoju.

The solution leverages autonomous Skypod robots that travel along racks up to 14 metres high and can access any product within a maximum of two minutes. This enables MUSINSA to optimise warehouse space efficiently, even with very high inbound and outbound volumes.

The modular design of the system allows performance to be scaled up easily as volumes grow, without requiring a complete rebuild of the installation. As a result, the investment supports the company’s long-term development and strengthens its market position.

Following implementation, MUSINSA plans to increase picking speed and warehouse throughput, while improving inventory control and workforce efficiency – particularly during peak periods. The system will provide a robust, future-proof automation backbone for the company’s expanding operations.

Korea is one of the most dynamic e-commerce markets in Asia. The popularity of K-fashion has significantly increased the logistics demands of the apparel sector. We are delighted to collaborate with such an innovative partner as MUSINSA. This project represents an important step in our expansion across the APAC region.

– said Romain Moulin, Chief Executive Officer of Exotec.

Currently, Exotec operates in more than 200 customer sites worldwide, working with brands such as Uniqlo, Gap Inc. and Oxford Industries (owner of Lilly Pulitzer and Tommy Bahama). By combining high-performance hardware with flexible software, Exotec enables companies to respond quickly to changing supply chain conditions.
