Premiere of the New Generation Luggi Car Transporter

Premiere of the New Generation Luggi Car Transporter LUGGI

Luggi, a Polish brand specializing in transport body solutions, has unveiled its latest product – a car transporter set for the transport of passenger and commercial vehicles, developed entirely in Poland. This is one of the most technologically advanced solutions of its kind in Europe, designed to meet real market needs: shorter delivery times, increased safety and driver comfort, as well as maximum functionality. The premiere took place on April 15 at the Silesian Stadium – a symbolic location that perfectly reflects the spirit of bold and dynamic innovation.

A Polish Answer to the Needs of the European Market

The shift toward increasing driver comfort and safety, rising fuel costs, and serious issues with the availability of car transporters across Europe are just a few of the key challenges addressed by Luggi’s new project. The vehicle was designed with the modern operator in mind – to be reliable, efficient, and truly ease the user's daily workload. At the same time, the construction was based on an analysis of current trends and market forecasts in the transport industry, where there is a lack of quick-access, all-in-one solutions.

Demand for car transporters is growing rapidly, significantly extending lead times year after year. Economic pressure and a shortage of drivers make features like user comfort, low operating costs, and fast availability crucial. Luggi addresses these needs by offering delivery times shortened to just a few months. Additionally, the absence of intermediaries and lower logistics costs translate into a competitive price compared to comparable imported units
- says Patryk Steidten, Vice President at Zabudowy365.pl Sp. z o.o., the company behind the Luggi brand.

Advanced Technology, Polish Manufacturing

The Luggi#ONE car transporter is the result of an advanced design process carried out by specialists with years of experience in special-purpose vehicle construction. The entire set – both the trailer and the truck-mounted body – is produced in Poland and complies with both national and European homologation standards. The set features a modular structure, allowing for solo operation during technical transfers that do not require vehicle loading. The ramp and platform system is fully hydraulically operated, enabling the driver to load vehicles efficiently without physical effort while reducing the risk of mistakes.

We started by talking to drivers, fleet operators, and our key business partners. We knew that more than just another transporter was needed. Today, safety, availability, and ergonomics are paramount. That’s why we decided to create a unique project, unprecedented not only in Poland but also on a European scale – developed from scratch, with no compromises. From the first sketches to production and final assembly – everything takes place in Poland, under the supervision of top specialists and with invaluable support from our technology partners, including Daimler Truck Polska, the owner of the Mercedes-Benz brand. This allows us not only to better control quality but, above all, to respond more quickly to market needs
- says Mateusz Ciupa, Key Account Manager/Quality Manager at Zabudowy365.pl.

A New Standard of Safety and Ergonomics

The Luggi car transporter was designed with maximum safety and driver comfort in mind. A key feature is the SLS (Safety Lights Solution) system – proprietary LED lighting manufactured by the Polish company HORPOL. It illuminates the working area around the vehicle, improving visibility during loading and minimizing the risk of tripping, injury, or losing tools. For hydraulic operation, the set is equipped with high-stroke drive-over ramps and platforms, controlled from ergonomically positioned manipulators – allowing the driver to work while standing with full visibility of the set. The adjustable hydraulic platforms enable safe loading and unloading of both passenger and commercial vehicles.

Proprietary Innovations

Thanks to the rear underrun protection beam on the truck, the vehicle set obtains full vehicle type approval. The company is also in the process of obtaining the same certification for the trailer, which will significantly reduce the registration and approval time of the ready-to-use vehicle set.

Safety and working comfort are our top priorities. We simplified the controls, ensured work area lighting during loading and unloading, and thanks to the solo driving function, the driver gains greater independence. Importantly, when the tilting platforms are folded, the trailer forms a flush surface (unlike the truck body), allowing for the transport of wider vehicles than with standard loading. Moreover, we introduced solutions that significantly reduce lateral trailer sway during driving, further enhancing road safety. This is a set that not only works efficiently but also genuinely supports the driver in daily operations
- comments Adrian Janusiak, Project Manager at Zabudowy365.pl.

Trusted Partners

The base of the set is the Mercedes-Benz Actros Gigaspace – the largest cab offered by Daimler Truck Polska. It provides above-standard space, an ergonomic rest area, and advanced safety systems such as MirrorCam and lane-keeping assist. The partnership with Daimler Truck Polska enhances the prestige of the project and confirms its high quality.

The Luggi#ONE project was well thought out from the beginning, based on the accurate insights of specialists and designers as well as real market needs. Seeing the professionalism and passion of the project team, we made the unusual decision to support a young brand debuting on the market. The Mercedes-Benz Actros Gigaspace is not only a technical base here but also a solution that supports the driver in daily work, both in terms of ergonomics and safety. We believe that such combinations – a solid construction with a modern cab – truly impact fleet efficiency. Our collaboration on this project was concrete, well-planned, and resulted in a product with the potential to attract the entire industry’s attention
- says Tomasz Ogórek, Head of Zero Emission Vehicles at Daimler Truck Polska.

From the Heart of Poland to the Roads of Europe

The car transporter set is now part of the regular offering. The manufacturer provides individual demonstrations and test drives for companies interested in implementing the solution into their fleets.
