Modern Technologies at DPD’s Warehouse by SEGRO

On April 14, 2025, the official opening of DPD’s new 18,000-square-meter logistics hub took place at SEGRO Logistics Park Stryków. This is DPD’s third location in a SEGRO park in Poland, following sites in Wrocław and Poznań. SEGRO is the owner, developer, and manager of modern warehouse and production facilities. DPD currently leases over 35,000 square meters of space in SEGRO’s Polish portfolio.

The logistics hub in SEGRO Logistics Park Stryków is DPD Polska’s fourth building operating as a sorting facility. The 18,000 square meters include 16,300 square meters of warehouse space and 1,700 square meters of office and social areas. A key feature of the facility is a gatehouse equipped with tablets, allowing truck drivers to register their entries and exits, thereby improving operational efficiency. Additionally, the warehouse has been fitted with a two-level loop sorter tailored to DPD’s needs at this location. This significantly enhances the speed and accuracy of parcel sorting and order fulfillment.

A new nationwide sorting center has been created in SEGRO Logistics Park Stryków, which will handle parcels destined for the DPD Pickup OOH network - comprising 32,000 points and parcel lockers. Ultimately, we plan to employ between 320 and 350 people at the site. We are pleased that our employees will benefit from SEGRO’s chill-out zones and the comfortable working conditions within the building, as well as the biodiversity initiatives around it
- said Maksymilian Pawłowski, Head of Corporate Communication, DPD Polska.

In addition to chill-out zones, the surroundings include an outdoor chess table, eight beehives, pollinator insect hotels, and nesting boxes for birds. The facility uses 50 kW photovoltaic panels, helping DPD reduce energy costs and carbon emissions. It is also worth noting that SEGRO provides all clients in its Polish parks with electricity sourced exclusively from certified wind and solar energy. This investment is part of the company’s long-term commitment to supporting low-emission development.

The new building for DPD at SEGRO Logistics Park Stryków is first and foremost an environmentally friendly space. It holds a BREEAM certification at the Excellent level, with particularly high scores for water, waste, and energy management, as well as attention to the well-being of the client’s employees. Our latest project in Stryków sets new market standards for sustainable warehouse facilities in Poland
- explained Bartosz Michalski, Director, Logistics, Poland, SEGRO.

SEGRO Logistics Park Stryków is both the flagship and largest park in SEGRO’s Polish portfolio. Its current size is nearly 320,000 square meters, with potential for expansion by an additional 44,000 square meters. The park’s location near the A1 and A2 motorway intersection enables fast transportation in all directions, while its proximity to Łódź ensures access to a skilled labor force and top-tier specialists.
